Market research agency, "IC Insights" recut the forecast of revenue in semiconductors in 2011 based on on weak global economic climate. The agency forecasted 10% of growth rate of the global semiconductor in 2011,but now it  is down to 5%.In addition ,the growth rate of shipment about IC in 2011 is down to 4% from original forecated 10%.
In the newly released annual report in McClean, IC Insights lists a series of events that lead to economic recession, including the 311 earthquake in Japan, the Middle East political instability, natural disasters in United States as well as debt crisis in Europe and the U.S. government , etc.All these events slow down the growth of global economy in 2011,compared with last year, which also dragged down the market growth of electronics and semiconductor.
Although these negative impact of the event itself is not very serious, but it still makes the global economy slow in the first half of the year.Bill McClean, president of IC Insights, said: "According to IC Insights' observation, the global gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate had a serious decline since 4.6% in 2010, the global GDP growth of is estimated at 3.1 percent, which decreases 33% compared the same period in 2010. "IC Insights said the performance of global GDP in the second half will be improved, which is mainly due to investment demand in Japan after the earthquake, and the strengthening of the U.S. economic boom.
