The chairman of TSMC , Morris Chang said last month the law would be revised down in the second wafer foundry output, Industrial Technology Research Institute Industrial Economics and Knowledge Center (IEK) forecasts that in 2011 Taiwan's semiconductor industry output will decline 5.8%,with the biggest decline is memory,then followed by the IC design.
IEK system IC and process clinical research manager, Gary Yang pointed out in Taiwan IC industry development and market opportunity for the seminar held at the National Chiao Tung University that Taiwan's IC industry had signs of bottoming out at the second quarter of 2011 after two consecutive quarters recession in the fourth quarter of 2010 and first quarter of 2011, although the second quarter of 2011, , but the 4,183 one hundred million yuan for output value at the second quarter has growth of only 4.5% compared with first quarter, and the first three quarters is not busy season, the annual growth performance has been worried already.Rui Lin Yang said that according to the datas announced by IEK three months ago,Taiwan's semiconductor industry output still has 4.4% growth, but the debt crisis, the slow recovery in the U.S. and Japan, emerging markets face inflation problems, continued appreciation of the NT, as well as weak demand for computers, mobile phones market growth is not as expected under the influence of multiple adverse factors, IEK revised down sharply to 5.8 percent negative growth last week , but this is only a moderate correction, the future is likely to be revised down.Taiwan's semiconductor industry output value was about 100 trillion 7,686 billion in  2010, according to decline of 5.8% predicted by IEK, in 2011 to 1 trillion total value of 6,659 billion yuan.
