According to expert from the Guangdong LED Industry Alliance,outdoor lighting market in China was firstly started to drive the rapid industrial development.As the LED industry becomes mature, it also brings new opportunities for PCB.
At present, Guangdong LED industry has a leading position in domestic, LED packaging accounts for 70% of the whole country while accounting for 50% of the world; part of the technology keeps the same level as the world.In 2009,the output of LED lighting and related industries in Guangdong province reached 31 billion, accounting for 50% of whole China.
In recent years, there is no big breakthrough in technology of PCBs,only the extension of applications. After this, Taiwan-based PCB plants show great competitiveness. To meet the economic recovery, the hard PCB will focus on LED lightings, while HDI will also have a bright future.In terms of LEDs with good hopes, although LEDTV, LED lighting can bring the PCB opportunities,besides, the energy-saving and multi-functions are accepted by more and more people,however, LEDs are regarded as "luxury" in a short time, we still have make efforts to prompt LEDs,such as, lack of core technology, high prices,besides, the supporting products for LEDs,such as photovoltaic panels, rigid-flex boards, soft boards are weak link in China's PCB industry, the manufacturer and output are small.No matter what future Chinese and world economy have,it is true Chinese PCBs welcome good opportunities.
