IC is a new generation fast-paced, high-tech products. From today's point of view of international market structure, IC enterprises compete fiercely on ownership of intellectual property rights ,multinational global industrial organization has shown the characteristics of an oligopoly, IC multinational sales, manufacturing, research and development towards the global layout direction.
From the industrial output value, in 2000, total sales of China's IC industry was only 18.62 billion yuan, while sales in 2010 was more than 130 billion yuan ,which was almost 7 times in ten years times, the average annual growth rate was 21.7%, industrial growth rate was always higher 10% than the global IC industry growth, market share accounting for the global IC increased to 8.5% in 2009 from 1.2% in 2000.

The market growth of global consumer electronics, network communications, automotive electronics provide more room for China's exports of integrated circuits.
Over the past decade the focus of the global IC market was shifted gradually from Europe to Asia. In 2001the global IC market was basically in North America, Europe, Japan, Asia-Pacific quarter of the world. Earthquake in Japan in early 2011 had serious negative effects on Japanese IC industry which has brought new opportunities for the development of China's IC industry .Ten years later, China's IC market has become the world's largest IC consumer market and the main global IC giant battlefield.From the applicated structure of global IC,IC has market decline in the computer field, but with rapid growth in consumer electronics, network communications, automotive electronics and other embedded fields, it will slowly step from the computer-based products into the embedded driven post-PC era.
