Research firm of semiconductor industry, Semico Research recently cut its chip market forecast in 2011, they forecast sales in the market will be less the 2 percent than in 2010. The agency previously forecasted  chip market growth rate in 2011 was 6%, while other market research agencies forecasted this year's chip market growth was mostly in the 6% or higher.That smico revised down forecasts was the most disturbing symptoms since the chip market declined in 2011,a lot of chip makers and semiconductor-related companies have recently issued a warning of the poor economy at the second half .The president of Semico,JimFeldhan they revised down the growth rate of chip market based on talks with customers and other signs of lack of motivation in chip market at the second half of 2011.Feldhan pointed out that some people still believe that the chip industry will continue to make digit growth in 2011,because of the strong momentum in the fourth quarter, but he thinks the possibility is not very high.
Not long ago, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) has announced the average of the global semiconductor industry sales in three months since July,namely $ 24.85 billion, compared with the same month of 2010,it decreased 1.1%. The above data is in line with analyst forecasts from Bruce Diesen, Mike Cowan and other broadly  , SIA also reported signs of recovery in the Japanese semiconductor market.Another market research firm ICInsights lowered predicted growth rate in 2011 from 10% to 5% in last month; Gartner's semiconductor industry growth in 2011 forecast, it is revised down from 6.2% to 5.1 %. In addition ,Semiconductor Intelligence sucked originally forecast for 2011 semiconductor market growth rate of 9%, reduced to 4%.
