As sales in the end applications are far from the expected one, and LEDs decline in value too fast,clients are eager to reduce inventory of components, the total revenue of listed OTC Taiwan LED makers in August this year is about 8.415 billion yuan, reduced monthly by 2.69%, yearly by 18.9%. However, as the needs of Christmas and the new models of LED-backlit TV, backlight markets emerge rush orders, which brings LED industry chances.Observe the revenue performance of LED chip factory , LED manufacturers are facing to adjust the product mix at the second quarter , although large-size backlights are still the mainstream of LED market, but under the pressure of the stock market and weak demand for the terminal markets, LED chip manufacturers continue to face pressure in revenue, revenue of all listed Taiwan LED chip factories in August reached 3.72 billion, month by 5.9%, the annual decline of 23.9%.
As to whole chip factory,only Formosa Epitaxy (3061-TW) is of better revenue in august,it is  mainly because at the first half the Korean orders are reduced so they have a low base, after August sales are gradually stabilized, growing 14.6% per month,up to 380 million.  LED manufacturers said, since september, some rush orders emerge, most are used in flat-panel computer or cell phone backlight , and some LED-backlit TV panel factory has new models.In terms of revenue from LED packaging factory in August, although it is continued to be affected by the low demand of backlighting applications, revenue of all listed Taiwan LED packaging factories is 46.9 billion, compared to last year, a substantial decrease of 14.5 %, the monthly rates of -0.01%.
