U.S. market research firm, iSuppli recently released data to show that, Lenovo has gone beyond Dell at the third quarter of this year and become the world's second-largest PC maker, which is a serious challenge for HP. While the overall chain growth of shipments for worldwide PC in the third quarter is only 5.5%, the Lenovo was of strong growth, shipments were increased to 12.5 million units from 10.9 million units in the previous quarter, an increase is up to 14.5%. Lenovo now accounts for 13.9% of worldwide PC shipments, only behind 4.2% compared with HP. This is the more urgent challenge HP suffered in recent years. According to iSuppli's data, since the second quarter of 2008, which is the smallest gap between the second PC makers and a HP, there is 2.7 percentage points apart between Dell and HP. The principal analyst of iSuppli believes that Lenovo uses strong PC demand from China's domestic market. Although the United States, Europe and other regions the PC sales are not strong because of weak economic environment and the media pressure plate of the competition, but the desktops and notebooks in China are still hot. This also makes Lenovo beyond the U.S. competitors, Hewlett-Packard's market leadership is challenged.Asymco recently estimated, Apple's iOS product sales may reach 280 million units in 2012. If this prediction is correct, then iOS product sales in the next year will be equivalent to more than double of 2011.In 2011, Apple sold 72 million iPhone, 3200 million units iPad and 42.6 million units iPod, which can be calculated iOS product sales are 146.6 million total units. Which iPod sales include iPodTouch and iPod music player. To predict sales of Apple in the calendar year 2012, Asymco's analyst ,De Diou combines three analysis modes. De Diou researches the overall level of demand for mobile and share of manufacturers according to traffic and market data announced by Ericsson on Nov 7th. Dedi Ou points out that Apple's iOS products sales will reach 250 million units, the market share is 17%. Assuming Apple's market share  is increased, De Diou estimats Apple's iOS product sales in 2012 will reach 225 million units, and iOS products may be sold 280 million units.
