Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) announced ON Dec 5th, in October of 2011 average worldwide sales of semiconductor for 3 month is $ 25.74 billion, slightly reduced 0.1% compared with the revised  value in the previous month,$ 25,760,000,000,which is the first setback since 3 months; compared with the $ 26.2 billion last year it fell 1.8%,  a drop down slightly compared with the previous month.The average sales from August to October have a growth of 3.6% compared with the period from May to July. SIA statistics show that in October average monthly growth rate of semiconductor sales in American in 3-month is 1.3%,which is for the second consecutive month rally; Asia Pacific decreases by 0.8%, Europe decreases by 1.6%. The Japanese market increases 2.2 percent, the fourth consecutive degrees bounce. Compared to the same period of last year, to 7.7%  Europe topps the first because of reduction with 7.7%,and surpasses Japan, Japan relegates to second with 7.6% reduction, followed by America with 2.5% , only Asia-Pacific has a growth of 1.7%. This year,the shipments of semiconductors to the America have a growth of 4.6%, followed by 3.4% from Asia-Pacific and 1.2% from Europe.SIA said in all types of semiconductors,this year will be only a memory IC products showing reduction which is of 14.6%; next year it also continues to fall 4.6%, before 2013 it will be rebounding to 4.0% .The president of SIA,Brian Toohey said that despite of the difficult global economic environment this year, natural disasters also had the impact of Asia's semiconductor production industry,the industry is still showing excellent toughness, the increase of embedded semiconductor in applications in consumer, industrial, business and government is expected to bring continuous growth in 2012 and 2013.
