According to report from South Korean media,that Samsung plans to invest about 35 billion U.S. dollars to build up chip plant in China, and put into operation in 2013. According to a regulatory file of the company, the factory will use advanced 20-nanometer technology to produce NAND flash memory chips.The Chinese government has always used a "technology-market" strategy, attracted national high-tech industry and R & D to stay in China, but the most advanced technology always remain in the home country. Although China is the world factory today,but what they havee absorbed are most of the developed or updating technology, and now Samsung has introduced advanced technology, heavily invested in China flash memory plant,there are special meanings behind the breakthrough.It is reported that the move from Samsung seeks to seize the opportunities of smart phones and tablet computers. The flash memory chip production line of Samsung will feature advanced 20-nanometer manufacturing process, but they did not disclose the address of the block and the specific new plant investment.It is reported that if factory plans get the official approval from China, the plant will be the second oversea chip plant following after Austin, Texas,Samsung also plans to set up production base of flat panel display screen in China. The analyst of South Korea's Shinhan Investment company, Yongcan Jin expects, Samsung will invest 4 trillion won (about $ 3.5 billion) to 5 trillion won for new plant in China.It is reported that Samsung has submitted an applicationon on building production base with foreign investment to South Korean government, which requires Samsung need to make a similar application, due to concerns of valuable high technology leakage. |
