Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) announces, in November 2011 average sales of worldwide semiconductor in 3-month is $ 25.13 billion, compared with the $ 25.74 billion in the previous month (3 month moving average) it falls 2.4%, over the same period in 2010 falling 3.1 percent. From January to November of 2011,sales of global semiconductor is up by 0.8%.The president of SIA, Brian Toohey said that effects on supply chains from Thailand's flooding have the impact of recent semiconductor sales, but the OEM manufacturers expected to resume production in the next few months. Toohey said, sales in November 2011 the sales is also affected by the European financial crisis. Intel (IntelCorp.) revised revenue estimate from October to December due to to supply shortage of hard drives on December 12th last year.SIA data showed, in Europe in November 3-month moving average semiconductor sales is reduced by 11.5% to $ 3.03 billion,which is the highest ranking reduction in markets,Japan comes second, the annual reduction is 8.2% to 38.2 billion U.S. dollars.Compared with October in 2011, the Asia-Pacific region fell 2.9% to $ 13.7 billion,which is a reduction of the highest ranking.French statistics office (Insee) expected the French economy will be into recession, at the fourth quarter of 2011 and first quarter of 2012, it is shrunk by 0.2%, 0.1%. Spain's new Minister of Economy, Luisde Guindos expected to fall into recession at the same time. |
