As South Korea's Seoul Semiconductor is affected by the global economic downturn,revenue performance of the second half in 2011 is far away from the first half, and substantially lower the number of estimated revenue in 2011 to 7,350 billion won (about $ 635 million),the revised revenue is lower 12% than the one in 2010,which is the company's first recession since the establishment.In terms of product category, in 2011, for Seoul Semiconductor,the one with largest revised revenue estimates is LEDTV backlight,which accounts for 72% of the total amount, relatively,lighting applications remain estimates at 3,000 billion won. Future developments of these two types of products is that LEDTV components will be packaged with a light emitting angle of the expansion and enhancement of brightness to reduce the number of pieces to the LED 30 to 40; in lighting applications,it is to put the emphasis of its LED power factor of 0.95 above.With its own capabilities,Seoul Semiconductor products also have the expansion and development towards the industrial chain and the downstream end.For example,the upper reaches of the LED chip manufacturers group ,SeoulOptoDevice, the proportion within the system is up to 6 percent in 2011 from 3 percent raise from 2010.In downstream areas, lighting applications os up to 1,500 customers, across 50 countries,customers of LED-backlit display also covers in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, mainland major industry. From the above, the company maintains industrial competitiveness through "diversity" mode of operation.
