Lenovo Group has developed beyond Hewlett-Packard to become the world's largest PC manufacturer.According to IDC, in the fourth quarter of 2011 in the global PC market share Lenovo accounted for 14.04%, and shipped about 13.01 million units of personal computers, behind HP's 15.12 million units of PC and a 16.13% market share. Lenovo's global market share in the fourth quarter of 2010 was 10.25%.Steadily maintained China's largest PC market, Lenovo has been working to open up overseas markets. Lenovo plans to let previous CEO of Acer,GianfrancoLanci to explore the markets of Europe , Africa and the Middle East in April 2012. In the North American market, Lenovo has about 4000 retail outlets, to increase its PC market share from the current 5% to 10% in the end of 2012.Although shipments of many international PC manufacturers in January 2012 decreased by 10-15% than the previous month, but the association of shipments is expected to have 5-8% growth.
