According to reports from Taiwan media, according to data published by market research firm recently,DRAMeXchange ,at the fourth quarter of 2011, sales revenue of global NAND flash market is $ 4.89 billion, a decline of 8.6 percent. Samsung Electronics is still the largest supplier in this market.At the fourth quarter of 2011 ,growth of NAND flash chip shipments is about 5 percent, but average selling price is lower than the 13%. Flash memory cards and flash memory hard drive volume are still low, however, there has been replenishment demand for smart phones and tablet PCs and other systems OEMs.Samsung benefited from orders demand of smart phones and flat point of market. This demand has offset the weakness of memory cards and USB flash drives orders.The NAND flash chip shipments of Samsung Electronic at fourth quarter were flat, however, the average selling price fell by about 10%.In the fourth quarter market share of Samsung Electronics was 34.6 percent, ranked first.In the first quarter of 2012 NAND flash chip shipments of Samsung is expected to grow by more than 10 percent, mainly from the order of the system OEMs.Ranked second in the fourth quarter is Toshiba,the NAND flash chip shipments were flat, the average selling price declined. Toshiba's market share is 29.7 percent, came after Samsung Electronics.At the fourth quarter Hynix Semiconductor ranked third ,market share is 13.7%. Micron Technology, ranked fourth, market share is 13.3%.
