According to the latest research published by market research firm, Strategy Analytics, at the fourth quarter of 2011, global Microsoft's smart phone shipments is up 36% to $ 2.7 million.Nokia won the Global Microsoft smart phone manufacturer as the top position for the first time.The deputy director of Strategy Analytics, Alex Spektor said: "at the fourth quarter of 2011, the global adoption of Microsoft's operating system smart phone shipments grew 36% to $ 2.7 million. While Microsoft had little smart phone shipments, but showed signs of growth. Nokia replaced HTC and other competitors to become the world's largest Microsoft smart phone manufacturer, its market share is 33%. "The executive director of Strategy Analytics,Neil Mawston added: "Nokia Microsoft Department smartphone has shipments growth is due to expansion of WindowsPhone7 product(such as Lumia800), increase in the retail business ,promotion activities in Europe and Asian countries.
