According to the Korea Electronics News reports, Huawei Technologies (Huawei) developed four core (QuadCore) processor equipped with their self-produced smart phone, the domestic semiconductor design skills catch up, close to South Korea. Although there are gaps process technology and South Korea, but it leads South Korea in design ability,especially,IC design industry revenue has surpassed the revenue of Korean enterprises.According to the Korean industry, Huawei and ZTE ,the terminal operators include thousands of semiconductor design talents and are actively conducting research and development. The strength of the domestic enterprises is also noticed in the Mobile World Congress (MWC2012) by the outside world. Huawei showed smart phone in MWC2012 equipped with four core application processor.Huawei is the only one who does not use NVIDIA, Qualcomm (Qualcomm) and other specialized industry products, has launched a wholly-owned R & D core phone industry. The equipped 4-core application processor K3V2 is jointly developed products by Huawei and its subsidiaries Hass (Hisilicon). The chip will be officially listed in March. Hass  in also introduced the multi-mode baseband chip supporting of LTE-FDD and TD-LTE, the 3GPPRelease9 in MWC2012.Domestic process technology is far from South Korea, however,it has surpassed South Korea in design capacity.Topped fourth in the world, ZTE also has its own R & D capabilities, and is currently an exclusive R & D part of the chip module,such as TD-LTE baseband chips or communications equipment Chip Module, through self-designed and equipped with communications equipment. The current technical capabilities could design analog semiconductors, and some chips will be out to South Korea.The growth of domestic IC design companies should not be underestimated. In mainland there are about more than 500 IC design companies. IHSiSuppli estimated that the overall revenues of domestic IC design in 2010 was $ 5.2 billion, expected to grow more than doubled to $ 10.7 billion in 2015.
