According to shipping report released by panel research department of TrendForce, WitsView ,the global LCD TV shipments in 2011 reached 200.5 million units,it is estimated in 2012 shipments annual growth rate will be up to about 8 percent to 216.5 million units.WitsView said that the LCD TV market in the first three quarters of 2011 has weak demand due to the global environment, weak market demand, brand stocking conservative, continued to melt the inventory, the demand of the North American market was back at the end, brand shipments turned positive, in order to endeavor to achieve annual sales goal, coupled with the fermentation of distribution in effect before the Chinese Lunar New Year, at the fourth quarter of 2011 overall LCD TV shipments was 15.1 percent.On the other hand, first quarter of 2012 is traditional low quarter, coupled with the quality of the part of the new panel still have some concerns, it is estimated volume of quarterly growth will decline 24.5%, growth of 2 percent over the same period last year. WitsView expected, if the new models of panel quality and production problems can be solved, quarter decline will have the opportunity to improve. However, according to the present situation, the brand hopes the new machine demand is deferred until the second quarter, coupled with the holiday approaching in China,it is estimated in the second quarter shipments over the previous quarter will have growth of 8.4%.The Research Associate of WitsView,Burrell Liu said that at the fourth quarter of 2011 the world's top five LCD TV brands shipped to active, sweeping away the haze of the first three quarters, compared with fourth quarter growth strength was up to 18.5%; Chinese brands in the sprint of the Lunar New Year have 15% growth.WitsView also estimates that from 2010 to 2012, LCD TV brands of South Korea will remain 30 to 31 percent in global market share; in mainland China six major TV brands are positive in layout, it is estimated it will be 22.2% from 17.6 percent in 2010. |
