During the past five years,the semiconductor market share of Intel has been hovering between 11.9% and 13.9%.Strong sales growth and the acquisition is to promote Intel's market share growth. In 2011, Intel's sales reached $ 54 billion, representing an increase of 20.6% over 2010.The semiconductor market share of Samsung ranked second which had 9.2%. Texas Instruments ranked third with 4.5%,and Toshiba ranked fourth with 4.1%.
