According to latest announcement of statistical data by Japan Electronics Packaging Circuits Association(JPCA),in February 2012 Japanese printed circuit board (PCB) production rose 3.9 percent to 1.474 million square meters compared to same month of last year , showed the first growth since 18 months; yield increased 4.5 percent to 54.324 billion yen, showing growth for the first time since 18 months. From January to February 2012,cumulative Japanese PCB production reduction is from 0.8% to 2.858 million square meters, production declined 2.3 percent to 1,057.56 billion yen .In terms of the types, in February Japanese hard board (RigidPCB) production increased 3.0 percent to 1.015 million square meters, showed growth for the first time in 17 months; yield minus 0.5 percent to 35.13 billion yen, the 17th consecutive month downward. The output of FPC (FlexiblePCB) rose 24.7 percent to 39.4 million square meters,showing the fourth consecutive growth; yield increased 12.9 percent to 7.335 billion yen showing growth for the third consecutive month. The production of module substrate (ModuleSubstrates) reduced yearly by 44.1% to 6.6 million square meters, the yield of annual growth is 16.5 percent to 11.859 billion yen.The major Japanese PCB suppliers are Ibiden, of CMK, flag wins (NipponMektron,), Fujikura (Fujikura), Shinko, Meiko (Meiko) and other.
