International Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute (SEMI) announced on March 19,2012 the estimated BB value of North American semiconductor equipment manufacturers is 1.13 which is in an upward for the consecutive six months, making a new high record since 1.17 in August in 2010. 1.13 means the month for every $ 100 shipped product it will be able to receive new orders of $ 113.The preliminary estimates of SEMI suggest that the data show that in March,the moving average of the amount of received global orders from North American semiconductor equipment manufacturer in 3 month is $ 1,479,300,000, a new high record since in July 2011; compared with February revised value ($ 1,336,900,000) rose 10.7 percent for the sixth consecutive month showing the monthly increase, but still lower than $ 1.58 billion in 2011 over the same period.In march for North American semiconductor equipment manufacturers,moving average shipped amount in March is estimated to be $ 1.3109 billion, down 0.9 percent compared with revised value ($ 1,322,800,000) in February, and compared to $ 1.66 billion at the same period in 2011 it is short of 20.9%.CEO of Qualcomm,Paul E.Jacos18 said the company will increase operating expenses for amplification of 28-nanometer supply. Jacos said in an interview with Bloomberg, Qualcomm can not get enough output from existing OEM partners and is now actively looking for additional sources.SMIC (SemiconductorManufacturingInternationalCorporation) announced on the 9th to increase earnings forecast at the first quarter originally announced on February 8, 2012:at revenue growth quarter forecast will be increased from 7-9% to 14-15%; gross margin forecast will be from 4-7% to 10-12%. |
