In the past 10 years,several attempts of Intel in this market have failed to succeed.Intel announced that the company's smart phone chip has 5 customers, the first mobile phone with Intel chip products has entered into market in India. Intel hopes that they could have advantages of the PC to the smart phone market.Smith said this week's product launch into this market means that Intel eventually this market. He said: "A week ago, our market share is 0, this week we started, because the first phone starts selling." Although the mobile phone chip business will not bring substantial contribution to performance of Intel in 2012, but Smith expects that next year the business will be given meaningful sales. He said: "Five years later, we hope to gain market share."
