Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) announced on 1 March 2012 ,moving average sales of global semiconductor within three months is $ 23.31 billion, compared with $ 22.95 billion in the previous month (3 month moving average) rose 1.5%, for the first time since the five months showing the monthly increase, but fell 7.9% compared to $ 25.3 billion in March 2011.In 2012 at first quarter sales is $ 69.9 billion, the annual reduction rate and quarter rate are 7.9%, 2.2%.The president of SIA, Brian Toohey pointed out that the major markets around the world in March showed a monthly increase, Europe, Japan, in particular, is very encouraging. In Europe March moving average sales is $ 2.83 billion, month by 3.8%; in Japan moving average of sales in 3 month is $ 3.42 billion, month by 1.2%.
