Taiwan Institute for Information Industry issues the latest estimates, it is estimated that the global semiconductor production value will reach $ 306.1 billion, an increase of 2%, to benefit Taiwan's foundry's outstanding performance,it is estimated the overall production value of semiconductor is $ 1.54 trillion,a growth of 6% compared to 2011, overall output growth will be greater than the average of the global industry, estimated output value of foundry reached 607.9 billion yuan , increase of 15% year-on-year. Institute for Information Industry said at the first quarter of 2012 the global semiconductor market is bottoming out,but under the slowdown sales of end products, however, it will keep the flat level with the last year or slight growth, but benefiting from the advanced process, besides,Taiwan industry has customers and capacity advantage, so the foundry industry has a relatively high growth potential, driving by the growing shipments,it will show a growth trend, the annual output value is expected to reach 607.9 billion yuan, an increase of 15%. In Taiwan's IC design industry, the Institute for Information Industry said due to the benefit of low-cost smart phone market growth, coupled with Taiwan businesses in the TV chip market has growing share, the 2 and 3-season products have mass production with listed new machine , it is expected output will have a growth of 4.2%, reaching 415.2 billion yuan. In IC packaging and testing industries, III pointed out that at the second quarter IC packaging and testing industry has a strong rebound driven by the high growth of the foundry , in the second half the IC packaging and testing industry can still maintain a moderate growth trend,it is estimated full-year IC packaging and testing will be up to 352 billion yuan in revenue, an increase of 3.9%.
