According to the statistics announced by Japanese electronic circuit industry, in June 2012 Japanese printed circuit board (PCB; hard board + soft board) production rose 0.3% to 1.421 million square meters compared to the same month last year, the two consecutive month to show growth; yield increased by 2.7% year-on-year to 52.986 billion yen, the second consecutive month to show growth. Accumulated from January to June 2012, the Japanese PCB production growth, compared with by 1.8% to 8.491 million square meters the same period last year , production volume declined by 1.5 percent to 3,086.94 billion yen.  In view of the type, in June, the Japanese hard board (RigidPCB) production grew 6.0% to 1.009 million square meters, the fifth consecutive month to show growth; yield growth was 2.6% to 34.168 billion yen, 4 months to present growth. FPC (FlexiblePCB) output declines 3.6% to 34.6 million square meters, fell for the third consecutive month; yield growth was 8.8% to 6.922 billion yen, the seventh consecutive month to show growth. The module substrate production declined by 36.8% to 6.7 million square meters, the yield decreased slightly by 0.03% to 11.896 billion yen. Accumulated hard board production in Japan from January to June 2012 ,compared to the same period last year growth of 7.3% to 5.919 million square meters, the production volume declined by 1.2 percent to 1,991.32 billion yen; soft board production grew 4.5% to 2.165 million square meters, yield growth increased 9.2% to 41.697 billion yen; the module substrate production declined by 45.5% to 409,000 square meters, production declined by 8.1% to 67.865 billion yen.
