NTInformation forecasts, Global PCB production value in 2012 will amount to $ 62.75 billion, including mainland China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, the sum of four regional value accounted for more than 80%, Taiwan and South Korea, and Japan, are called the main bases of the global PCB production. IEK pointed out that mainland China is the largest production center, but many of them are for contribution for Taiwan,so the real competitors of Taiwan PCB industry are Japan with high-end technology, as well as South Korean with many rising electronics brands. PCB products of Japan and South Korea are more concentrated in the high-end smart mobile device applications, similar to  development direction of Taiwan PCB industry, and future development trend is worthy of sustained attention.IEK study found that Japan and South Korea begin with a high-end PCB products as the development of the center.Japanese PCB industry is for high-end consumer electronics and dedicated niche persistent, still among the world's technology leader, at this stage, the Japanese PCB industry is more involved in the application of medical, automotive and high-value-added products, effective at home and abroad layout acceleration industrial transformation. But in the other hand, by the high exchange rate of yen, and the formation of a highly challenging operating costs; coupled with Japan lacks of operating flexibility of the PCB supplier in the emerging markets, resulting in small Japanese companies operating with transition pressure. Due to the rise of the South Korean electronics brand, through syndicates operating downstream brand directly contributing to the development of components, and the South Korean government maintains industrial competitiveness through exchange rate manipulation,the Korean PCB industry grows step by step, near to Japan and Taiwan.
