In August, Taiwan's electronics industry picked up, part of the sub-industry was rebounded significantly. In this month performance of the whole foundry companies in Taiwan was low, a total of six foundries achieved revenues of NT $ 463.8 billion, the chain fell 9.1% year-on-year decline of 0.5%. The non-consolidated revenues of Hon Hai in August were NT $ 222.31 billion yuan, the chain fell 10.6% ,a year-on-year growth of 3.7%. iPhone 5 is assembled by Hon Hai, since it did not begin shipping in August ,due to the reduced purchase of new iPhone 4/4S , non-consolidated revenue declined in August, but it is expected a large number of shipments in September, so that revenue of Hon Hai could benefit from a growing force in the iPhone 5 shipments. The monthly consolidated revenue of TSMC in August was 49.497 billion yuan, following the single-month revenue record of 48.53 billion yuan in July, a record high level again, the annual growth rate was 31.5%, an increase of 2.0% compared to July this year,the cumulative in the first eight months, the consolidated revenue was 331.591 billion yuan, an annual growth rate of 14.8%.The performance of TSMC in August is better than expectations, mainly due to the intelligent machines, especially in the low-end smart boom continued high.
