Japanese media reports, the world's second largest manufacturer of NAND-type flash memory (FlashMemory) ,Toshiba announced on December 21,because the semiconductor is back due to warm demand, their semiconductor factories in Japan will be overtime during the New Year's holiday work . Toshiba said Himeji semiconductor factory had the eight days of downtime in the New Year's holiday last year ,they will keep downtime ongoing production this year; the Oita factory lay-off days will be halved from last year's six days to three days during the New Year's holiday this year . Toshiba Himeji semiconductor factory mainly produces motor / PC power control chip, Oita factory mainly produces the image sensor and systems integration the wafer (SystemLSI). Toshiba revised on October 31 of this year (April 2012, March 2013) semiconductor industry revenue target from 1.08 trillion yen to 8,550 one hundred million yen (minus 13%), of which the memory sales target since revised down to 460 billion yen (years minus 16%), System on Chip repair from 300 billion yen to 240 billion yen (was down 9%), discrete components, revised down from 200 billion yen to 580 billion yen of 155 billion yen (years minus 8%). Toshiba said that this year ,in the second half (October 2012, March 2013), the semiconductor industry revenue forecast years minus 5% to 4,546 billion yen; memory sales reduce by 10% year-on-year to 2,528 million yen, System on Chip reduces by 1% year-on-year to 124.3 billion yen, the discrete components increased 9% year-on-year to 77.5 billion yen. |
