According to the statistics released by the Japanese electronic circuit Industries Association (JapanElectronicsPackagingCircuitsAssociation, JPCA) ,October 2012, printed circuit board (PCB; hard board + FPC) production slipped 3.6 percent to 1.406 million square meters, compared to the same month last year, it is the second consecutive month fell; yield fell by 11.4% to 44.711 billion yen, fell for the third consecutive month. Accumulated from January to October 2012, the Japanese PCB production growth compared with the same period last year grew by 1.1% to 1,416.6 million square meters, the production volume declined by 3.1 percent to 4,964.54 billion yen.In terms of the types, Oct. hard board (RigidPCB) production compared to the same month last year fell 8.7% to 930,000 square meters, the second consecutive month fell; yield fell by 18.7% to 27.494 billion yen, the third consecutive month fell. FPC (FlexiblePCB) production rose 16.6 percent to 421,000 square meters, the fourth consecutive month to show growth; yield rose 17.3% to 7.552 billion yen, 2 degrees to 3 months to show growth. Module substrate (ModuleSubstrates) production declined by 29.5% to 5.5 million square meters, production fell 5.4% to 9.665 billion yen.Accumulated hard board production in Japan in January-October 2012 compared with the same period last year it has a growth of 3.2% to 9.698 million square meters, production volume declined by 4.4 percent to 3,174.05 billion yen; soft board production grew 9.1% to 3.815 million square meters, yield has a growth of 6.4% to 69.086 billion yen; the module substrate production declined by 41.7% to 654,000 square meters, the yield declined by 4.9 percent to 1,099.63 billion yen.
