IC design industry output growth last year, continued to outperform the integrated device manufacturers (IDM) plant, according to research coordinating body ICInsights' estimation, last year's IC design industry output value accounted for 27.1% of the proportion of the overall IC market which reached a record high level. The latest report of ICInsights pointed out that the global IC design industry's output grew 6% last year, outperforming the IDM factories declined by 4%, and 2% higher than the overall IC market recession good.ICInsights said the global IC design industry output value of 1999-2012 compound annual growth rate is 16%, the other hand, IDM factory output value of compound annual growth rate is only 3%, about 5% compound annual growth rate of the overall IC market. IC design industry accounted for the proportion of the overall IC market is constantly rising, ICInsights pointed out the IC design industry in 1999 accounted for only about 7% of the proportion of the overall IC market, rising to 27.1% in 2012, setting a new high record, in 2017 it is expected to further thirds one level.
