In 2007, China's chip market revenue occupied 23% of the global chip market revenue.  Moreover, IC Insights expects the the chip manufactured locally in China will surge in the next five years. In 2012, the Chinese local manufacturing IC occupies 11.2% of the local total size of $ 81 billion chip market, but in 2012-2017, China's domestic IC will be increasing at a CAGR of 16.5%, revenue size from $ 9.1 billion in 2012 to grow to $ 19.5 billion in 2017, but occupied the proportion of the global IC market is only about 5%.
