IC design industry in the total IC market weightings is constantly rising, integrated device manufacturing (IDM) factory IC design industry output growth continued to outperform last year, according to the research coordinating body ICInsights estimation, the IC design industry output value accounted for the proportion of the overall IC market rising to 27.1% last year, record high levels. ICInsights latest report pointed out that the global IC design industry's output grew 6% last year, outperforming the IDM factories declined by 4%, and 2% higher than the overall IC market recession good. ICInsights said the global IC design industry output value of 1999-2012 had a compound annual growth rate of 16%, the other hand, IDM factory output value of compound annual growth rate of only 3%, about 5% compound annual growth rate of the overall IC market. ICInsights pointed out, the IC design industry in 1999 accounted for only about 7% of the proportion of the overall IC market, rising to 27.1% in 2012, setting a new record high, expected in 2017, is expected to further one-third of the level.
