International Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) released the three month average of the North American and Japanese manufacturers of semiconductor equipment sales (orders) in February 2013 ,compared to the same period in 2012 a recession. But from the front of the book to bill ratio (book-to-bill; B / B) performance, the prospects of these two regions.According to the investigation report of SEMI, in February 2013, the North American semiconductor equipment manufacturer's three month average order amount is of $ 1.07 billion, B / B value of 1.10. Similarly, the Japanese semiconductor equipment manufacturers ,B / B value reached 1.17.However, from the view of three month average order amount, $ 1.07 billion in February performance in North America compared with $ 1.08 billion in January decline of 0.2%, compared with $ 1.34 billion in the same period in 2012 declined by 19.7%.From a global point of view, in February 2013, three months average order amount is of $ 975.3 million, an increase of 0.8% compared to $ 968 million in January 2013, and a decrease of 26.3% compared to $ 1.32 billion in February 2012 .A SEMI president and chief CEO, Denny McGuirk said, "We expect that semiconductor manufacturers will continue stable investment, especially for the foundry and advanced packaging technology investment will significantly increase in the first half of this year." In the same three month average order amount based on the amount of the Japanese semiconductor equipment manufacturers in February reached $ 840 million, compared with $ 785 million in January 2013, an increase of 7%, compared with the same period in 2012, 1.053 billion U.S. dollar declined by 20.3%. |
